Rebate Mango: Cashback, Rewards, Miles – Referral Code
Last updated on 7th July 2021, Wednesday
Update: July 2021
Rebate Mango has closed down and as I realised it only after their cut off date, I did not even get to withdraw my cashback inside. If I did not attempt to use it, I would not even have realised as they did not even bother to notify. Quite disappointing. 🙁
I hope you managed to or have already withdrawn your cashback from them.
Shopback, the other cashback app that I am using, is still reliable as of now, as I have made many withdrawals before and they have been around since 2014, but if you want to withdraw your cashback from them, you can check out this post of mine to find out how.
How To Withdraw Cashback – Shopback/ Shopback Go
As Singapore’s birthday is around the corner, there are many online shops running lots of promotions so thought that it is a good time to share this. This was the one that I was referring to in my Shopback post, when I said it took me quite some time to locate a referral code to sign up.
Rebate Mango is similar to Shopback, but with less features. For now, it is purely a third party site where you go through to get extra rebates while purchasing. Similar to how Shopback started initially.
Then why do you need to sign up for another rebate site, especially when you are so used to Shopback? I thought so myself, and I regret not recalling that there is an alternative to Shopback earlier this year.
Before I delve into details, let me share my RebateMango referral code first.

When you sign up with my above referral link, you will get $5.
I will in turn get $7, though I am not sure if it’s just a promo for these two months, since I am still new to it. But this also means that you will get $7 these two months if you refer your friends too.
So the first reason you should join Rebate Mango is definitely the sign up reward.
And this is the first thing I like about Rebate Mango, not the upsized referral reward, but that the reward you receive when you sign up, is confirmed immediately. No purchase or anything necessary.
I wasn’t sure of this when I signed up and the sign up reward certainly didn’t appear in my account, but after waiting a few days, I emailed their customer service and I got a quick response that their relative department will be crediting that into my account. Took a few days but I received an email informing me that it has been credited. They are way more efficient than Shopback.
The downside is of course, you need a minimum of $10 to withdraw the payout, so you will eventually need to spend. I have yet to hit the minimum so I can’t review on the withdrawal yet.
The main and biggest difference using Rebate Mango is that, you can choose the type of reward you want to get.
For Shopback, you only get cashback/ money. But for Rebate Mango, you can choose between Cashback, Miles or Reward points.
It will be good if you are still missing a certain amount on your rewards or miles, which you can actually use this way to make up for it.
Especially for now, where air travel is limited, and also for those miles which you will need to continually earn in order to keep them. Using Rebate Mango to earn them will be handy.
Below are what you can choose to get back.
Another reason you should sign up is because, not all shops are available on Shopback now.
Shopee and Lazada just came back on Shopback. ebay is still unavailable. This was why I regretted not recalling that I could sign up for Rebate Mango earlier on because I bought quite a lot of things from these three sites previously. Due to them being unavailable on shopback, I lost all the rebates I could have earned from the purchases, if I had signed up for Rebate Mango earlier.
Also, you will have the choice to compare the amount of rebates you get from the two sites.
Let me give you an example, say you spent $300 buying a watch on Shopee and you are a existing user.
According to Shopback, existing customers can earn 0.1% cashback. (The percentage seems to have dropped, though I can’t recall what the previous percentage was, but I don’t remember earning this little. 🤨)
0.1% x $300 = $0.30
You will get 30 cents back from Shopback.
However, if you use Rebate Mango, watches is one of the highest percentage, so I will just use 1.4% according to the chart.
1.4% x $300 = $4.2
Sadly, you won’t get $4.2 because they have a cap of $1.05 per transaction. But it’s still 75 cents more that of Shopback.
Therefore, according to this, you can actually determine using which is more worthed it for you.
It’s time consuming so I would only do this if it’s a big amount that I am spending.
Also, it varies largely depending on whether you are a first time user to that shopping site, and if you are, I would suggest you look for the best rebate that you can get from both sites before purchasing, especially if it’s a costly item.
There are many similar shops that you can find on both Shopback and Rebate Mango, though I think Shopback has more shops, they also have some that are not currently available.
Like Lazada which was temporarily unavailable for cashback previously. You can see the difference in rebates for both sites.
One thing I didn’t really like about Rebate Mango is the user interface for the app. I clicked through the app to buy things from other sites, but when you actually click through it, it opens up your web browser, and then it prompts to open up the app.
But even when you are trying to access your own dashboard (check your transactions, rebates etc), it can’t be accessed inside the app, it will open up your browser so I guess it’s more user friendly for the desktop.
Other than this, I don’t have any complains as of now. 😂 I also doubted the reliability of it at the start, but the quick response from their customer service assured me. Though I think I will truly be assured only when I get to withdraw the cashback into my account. 😉
Below are some of the popular stores on Rebate Mango, which you can take a look.
If you want to sign up, I would suggest using desktop, because that’s how I signed up with no issues. And this is my referral code again.

Last but not least, Rebate Mango is available in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and The Philippines, so as usual I am not sure if my friend referral code is applicable for other countries, but you can try! 😊
If you have yet to sign up for Shopback and you want to try it out, here is the link to my Shopback Referral Code.
Have fun buying this weekend!
Happy 55th Birthday, Singapore! 🎂 🇸🇬
